Overview
Maryland Innovation and Security Institute (MISI) is launching a series of virtual events led by the CMMC Accreditation Board as part of our project for the DoD Office of Small Business Programs sponsored, Project Spectrum CMMC Readiness Pilot. Project Spectrum is designed to assist small and medium sized businesses that meet the pilot criteria with CMMC preparedness and includes access to the Kontinuum secure CMMC readiness scoring and automated assessment portal.

The panelists for this event is Katie Arrington and members of the CMMC Accreditation Board and committee leads. Katherine "Katie" Arrington is currently the Chief Information Security Officer for the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition.
What's Next
The plan is to announce future dates for a series of events that will address available information from the authorized sources such on topics such as:
- 3CPAO accrediting and training
- CMMC assessor training
- CMMC assessment manual
- and more.

How is MISI's DreamPort Cyber Mission Accelerator® Project Spectrum assisting the Department of Defense to evaluate and determine the cost and effectiveness of CMMC solutions?
- The team has been evaluating commercial and other solutions since 2019.
- Solutions are tested in our IT and OT mock business and industrial control labs.
- Our team has been testing in live DoD supply chain settings with a small test bed.
- Our team is evaluating cost, ease of implementation, scalability, the number of CMMC levels and practice areas within each level the tested tools can help a Defense Industrial Base Supply Chain company achieve compliance for.
- The team is building a marketplace for best practices, tested solutions and information that will assist with compliance.
