Tech Talk Series: MISI Infrastructure - How We Create Fast and Repeatable Cloud Architecture
Date: February 12, 2020 | 10am - 12pm | Location: DreamPort Facility in Columbia MD
Abstract
At MISI, we are constantly spinning up new project environments for rapid prototyping. This talk is about how we do just that; how we use infrastructure as code to automate the deployment, configuration, and management of AWS cloud infrastructure (many of these concepts apply to on-prem as well). The goal is fast and repeatable architecture to support many different projects very quickly. During this talk, we will walk through how we at MISI plan and produce environments using various tools and platforms, such as AWS, GitHub, Docker, Terraform, and Ansible.
What You Will Learn
- How we organize multiple projects using AWS Organizations
- How we delegate access across multiple AWS accounts to provide cross-account access
- How we use DNS to organize those projects
- How we use GitHub for configuration management and infrastructure as code
- How we use Terraform to build the infrastructure
- How we use Ansible to configure the infrastructure
